grants for non profit Omaha

Nonprofits can apply between now and June 1 for $5,000 toward cybersecurity services.

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA – April 29, 2025 – American PCS, a leading provider of IT support and cybersecurity services in the Council Bluffs and Omaha Metro Area since 2010, is proud to announce an expansion of its Cybersecurity Grant Program for nonprofits. Originally launched in June 2024 with a focus on penetration testing, the program has now been updated to include a comprehensive cybersecurity assessment alongside penetration testing to provide deeper protection against growing cyber threats.

Nonprofit organizations continue to be prime targets for cybercriminals, often facing significant risk with limited resources. American PCS’ enhanced grant program helps eligible nonprofits proactively identify vulnerabilities, prioritize risks, and strengthen their overall cybersecurity defenses, so they can continue advancing their missions without disruption.

“Our local nonprofits play a vital role in supporting our community, and it’s critical that they have access to the tools needed to defend themselves,” said Nate Roane, President and CEO of American PCS. “By expanding our cybersecurity grant program, we’re providing them with even stronger protection against digital threats like ransomware and phishing attacks.”

The updated grant covers a full penetration test and cybersecurity assessment - valued at $7,500 - for an out-of-pocket cost of only $2,500 to approved nonprofits receiving full grant funds. Grant recipients will be selected based on the demonstrated need and potential impact of the enhanced cybersecurity measures on their operations.

Eligible nonprofits must be a registered 501(c)(3) organization headquartered in Iowa or Nebraska.

Applications are open now and must be submitted by June 1, 2025. Organizations can learn more and apply at www.american-pcs.com/grants.
